First moving to Charlotte via a corporate relocation, she remembers well trying to imagine where her family would best fit in this community.
 
After living for 7 years in bucolic South Charlotte, she relocated to the sunsets and shores of Lake Norman in Cornelius with her husband and 2 sons. A best selling children's book author, Colleen has deep roots in the Charlotte Community, having raised more than 1.25 million dollars to provide free books to under-served children across the Queen City via the national nonprofit First Book.
